I’m Najma Banu (MSW), an AASW-accredited social worker with nearly two decades of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan.

My practice is grounded in a trauma-informed, attachment-aware, and systemic framework, which guides how I understand people within the context of their relationships, environments, and life experiences. This informs my work with a range of concerns including complex trauma, attachment and relational difficulties, anxiety, and significant life stress.

I integrate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based and solution-focused strategies, tailored to each person’s needs.

I aim to provide a safe, respectful, and grounded therapeutic space where you can explore experiences at your own pace and feel genuinely supported.

Through SafeChat, therapy is accessible securely and confidentially from wherever you feel most comfortable.
